EPA Expected Soon to Issue a Final Rule Regarding the Implementation of the Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products Act 

According to Woodworking Network, the EPA is expected to soon deliver their final rule regarding implementation of the Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products Act, which added Title VI to the Toxic Substances Control Act. The ruling was scheduled to be announced in the Federal Registry on October 26, 2016; however, EPA found that they did not have sufficient data for the “affected population of plywood, composite wood products, and lumber dry kilns” to “adequately review and evaluate the emission standards”. EPA extended the comment period until November 7th. The EPA identified facilities which will possibly be subjected to the ruling as follows:
