The EPA announced on Monday that they will begin sending electronic letters acknowledging receipt of Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Section 8(e) notices of substantial risk that were submitted electronically via the Central Data Exchange (CDX). CDX users will receive a generic notice to their email with instructions to log into their CDX account to access the electronic acknowledgment letter. To ease this transition, both electronic and paper communication will be used for the next six weeks.
In an effort to further reduce paper communications, the EPA plans to respond electronically to other TSCA notices submitted using CDX in the future. A webinar is planned for the fall of 2017 to demonstrate the process.
