Happy Women in Science Day from Vireo Advisors, LLC!

In celebration of Women in Science Day, we would like to highlight the women that contribute to the team at Vireo Advisors, LLC.

Dr. Jo Anne Shatkin is an expert in novel product safety and environmental and health policy issues, with over 20 years’ experience leading projects in risk analysis, safety and regulatory policy work including numerous publications. She is founder and president of Vireo Advisors.

Dr. Kimberly Ong is a biologist and toxicologist. Dr. Ong is an expert in developing protocols specific for novel material testing to improve reliability for risk and exposure assessment and is experienced in regulatory analysis for novel products.

Ana Diges is a recent materials science and engineering graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has a particular interest in sustainable engineering solutions that preserve, develop, and grow community and environmental health.

Brook Pernsteiner is pursuing a M.S. Biomedical Engineering Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She is currently interning with Vireo.

Angel Precious-Egere recently completed her B.SC in Microbiology from McPherson University in Ogun, Nigeria. She is currently interning with Vireo.

Patricia Hodgkinson, MSc is a food policy research consultant at Vireo with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services and food industry.

Leslie Hockman has industry experience working for a commercial manufacturer of cellulose nanomaterials and is Vireo’s administrator.

Meng Lian is an intern and student of Chemical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
