CMSI is back with another exciting workshop this 2026!

Vireo Advisors and New Harvest have curated a focused, high-impact workshop centred on culture media inputs and key product quality demonstration which was voted a critical topic for advancing safe, scalable cultured meat and seafood production.

This workshop will convene key stakeholders to actively advance research and methods to evaluate the safety of culture media inputs and related safety topics

We will dive into scoping projects to evaluate the safety of culture media inputs, including residues, contaminants, complex mixtures, microcarriers, and product quality assessments.

Location: McCormick Place, Chicago

Co-located with: The Future of Protein Production Conference x Cultured Meat Symposium

Dates: February 23, 1 PM CST

Cost: Free

The session aims to foster collaboration amongst individuals interested in actively working on or advising cultured meat and seafood safety research. Participants will join the ongoing consortium of partners pursuing this work collaboratively across the globe as part of the Cultured Meat Safety Initiative
