By controlling the growth of bacterial cellulose with oxygen using “superhydrophobic interfaces”, Orlando Rojas and colleagues at Aalto University of Finland have discovered a way to use bacterial cellulose nanofibers to 3D print more realistic, safer, and personalized tissue replacement implants.
Washington becomes first state to ban non-stick chemicals in food packaging
The Healthy Food Packaging Act was signed in March by Washington Governor Jay Inslee, banning nonstick chemicals in food packaging.

The FDA is holding a public meeting on June 7, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in order to prepare for the upcoming International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation Twelfth Annual Meeting which is scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 10 to 12, 2018.
