Vireo’s Dr. Jo Anne Shatkin and Dr. Julia Marschallinger are on the program at the Future of Protein Production (FPP) Conference and the co-located Cultured Meat Symposium (CSM) Conference, taking place from November 4-6 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The Future of Protein Production will cover the full breadth of alternative proteins, including plant-based, fermentation-derived, and other novel and emerging food technologies, with an expanded focus on health and wellness, longevity, and functional protein development. Alongside this, the Cultured Meat Symposium will deliver a dedicated deep dive into cell-cultivated meat, bringing together leaders focused on scaling, regulation, and commercialization of this rapidly evolving category.
Together, the two agendas offer both depth and breadth — giving attendees the ability to focus on their core area while gaining insight into adjacent technologies shaping the future of food. From early-stage research through to commercial production and retail, the event connects the people and technologies shaping how new proteins reach the market.
Dr. Marschallinger is also presenting at the International Scientific Conference on Cultured Meat (ISCCM), which takes place between November 15-17 in Maastricht. She will be presenting “Enabling Safe Innovation in Cultivated Meat and Seafood: Regulatory Pathways, Safety Assessment, and Adaptive Approaches”. ISCCM12 delves into the science and innovation behind lab-grown meat, exploring its environmental, ethical, and health impacts in the food industry.
If you want to learn how the Vireo Team can support your innovations and technologies, align them to market and regulatory requirements, protect workers, demonstrate safety, and evaluate health and environmental risks across the product life cycle, please reach out to Dr. Shatkin and Dr. Marschallinger at these conferences.
